center3: Bahrain Daya Center
About Bahrain Daya Center
The Bahrain Data Center Park by center3, in partnership with stc Bahrain, is located in the Al Qurain area of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The facility sits on approximately 55,000 m² of land and is designed to deliver up to 60 MW of IT load when fully deployed. It is part of center3’s broader strategic initiative to extend its digital-infrastructure footprint beyond Saudi Arabia into the wider MENA region, supporting Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and its goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2060.The location provides a key gateway for connectivity, benefiting from the nearby landing of the 2Africa Pearl submarine-cable system which links the Kingdom to major routes across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
⚙️ Facility Highlights
- A large-scale campus built with hyperscale and enterprise workloads in mind, offering up to 60 MW of IT capacity in its initial phase.
- Carrier-neutral design with modern infrastructure tailored for high-density rack deployments, modular expansion and connectivity-intensive workloads.
- Strategic alignment with sustainability goals—part of the development is constructed to support the Kingdom’s transition to low-carbon operations.
- Positioned to interconnect with regional data-centres, submarine cables and cloud-network backbones, making it ideal for international business, cloud service providers and large network operators.
🔐 Security & Compliance
- Security architecture designed to enterprise-level standards, including 24/7 monitoring, controlled access zones, and multi-layer perimeter protection (details to be confirmed upon facility launch).
- Built in a regulatory environment that is encouraging digital-infrastructure growth; the project signals a commitment to compliance with Bahrain’s data-centre and connectivity regulatory regime.
- The scale and design of the project suggest convergence with global best practices for uptime, redundancy and availability—although specific certification details (e.g., Tier or ISO classifications) for the exact site are not publicly listed at this time.
🌐 Connectivity & Carrier Access
- The Al Qurain site sits within a region that benefits from the 2Africa Pearl subsea-cable landing, enhancing its appeal for global connectivity and low-latency network deployments.
- Designed to support multiple fibre entry points, meet-me rooms, and diverse transit providers—enabling carrier-neutral access and network choice for customers.
- Positioned as a hub for cloud-on-ramps, content-delivery networks (CDNs), and regional interconnection with routes extending into Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, Africa and Asia.
