The Munich Data Center is operated by aixit GmbH, established in collaboration with Equinix and InterNetX, and has been operational since June 1, 2022. Located in the Munich metropolitan region—an important central European IT hub often referred to as the “Isar Valley” and home to nearly 30 data centers—it strategically fills the southern German market in aixit’s portfolio. The facility currently functions as a peering and dark-fiber point of presence, with colocation services integrated via Equinix’s Munich IBX® infrastructure, unlocking access to a wide ecosystem supported by Equinix’s high-availability platform
