Aligned Data Centers: PDX-01 Data Center
About PDX-01 Data Center
The PDX‑01 Data Center, operated by Aligned Data Centers, is strategically located at NE 30th Ave & NE Evergreen Rd, Hillsboro, Oregon—within the Portland metro “Silicon Forest” region and just minutes from major fibre-routes and the Portland International Airport.
The site is situated on a 27-acre campus in a low-seismic-risk zone of the Pacific Northwest and benefits from abundant access to renewable hydro- and wind-based electricity supplied by the local utility.
Designed as a next-generation hyperscale campus, the facility supports both enterprise colocation and build-to-scale deployments—and features a broad fibre ecosystem enabling low-latency connectivity to West Coast hubs and the Asia-Pacific region.
With its modular, adaptive infrastructure the site offers rapid deployment and expansion of compute capacity, ideal for AI/ML, cloud and enterprise workloads. Positioned for growth, PDX-01 is ideal for hyperscale, enterprise and cloud deployments.
⚙️ Facility Highlights —
- Total critical power capacity is planned at approximately 72 MW for the first building at the Hillsboro campus (with further expansion planned) offering high scalability for future growth.
- The facility supports high-density computing through advanced cooling architecture (air, liquid and hybrid cooling) designed to handle emerging workloads.
- Redundancy is built to Tier III standards with N+1 or A+B configurations across power and cooling systems, enabling robust reliability.
- Energy-efficient infrastructure includes 100 % renewable energy sourcing, a closed-loop chilled-water cooling system with ultra-low water-utilization efficiency (WUE), and adaptive modular design allowing rapid expansion with minimal disruption.
🔐 Security & Compliance —
- Physical security features include multi-layer perimeter protection, biometric and card access, 24×7 on-site security staff, full CCTV coverage (including PTZ cameras) and Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) throughout the data hall and mechanical zones.
- The facility is designed to meet rigorous compliance standards and supports certifications such as SOC 2 Type 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, NIST 800-53 and ISO 27001.
- With its robust infrastructure and architecture, the site is designed to deliver high availability, supporting industry SLAs for uptime and reliability.
🌐 Connectivity & Carrier Access —
- This campus is carrier-neutral and offers direct access to a rich ecosystem of local, regional and international network carriers and subsea cable landing-points—including connectivity routes to California, Seattle and Asia-Pacific cable systems.
- Connectivity options include cross-connects, dark fibre, lit fibre, and cloud-on ramp services—enabling seamless interconnection and cloud access.
- The proximity to major west-coast markets and APAC links gives this facility low-latency advantages for global edge, streaming, and compute-intensive deployments.
