Situated at Norra Stationsgatan 61 in the Vasastan district of Stockholm, the S:t Erik Data Center is operated by Bahnhof AB and founded within a historic building originally constructed in 1926 as “Bilpalatset” (then Europe’s largest garage).

• The facility uses its own switchgear connected directly to the public electricity grid, enabling operator-controlled power distribution. 
• The UPS is a single Eaton 9395 model with internal redundancy (rated for ~500 kW output) and battery runtime of approximately 8 minutes at full load.
• Diesel generator backup provides ~890 kW of reserve power for the facility. 
• Cooling is managed via heat-pump systems (~750 kW capacity) along with secondary remote district-cooling integration and floor/ceiling fan-coil units. 
• Built-in strong connectivity and high fibre-density core: the building’s historic location has been repurposed for modern, carrier-rich infrastructure.

• The building features a three-layer perimeter access control system with individually-assigned rights, camera surveillance throughout (logs retained at least six months) and intrusion detection tied into the NOC and external security provider. 
• Certifications include Swedish protection class 2 under SSF 200, and alarm class 2 under SSF 130. 
• Fire suppression systems are sector-split: Hall 1 uses Argonite, Hall 2 uses Novec 1230; both include early smoke detection and separate extinguishant controls tied to emergency services.
