DEEP (A POST Luxembourg Company): Strasbourg Data Center
About Strasbourg Data Center
The Strasbourg Data Center is part of DEEP’s pan-European footprint, under the umbrella of POST Luxembourg’s DEEP entity, which consolidates the IT and telecom assets of EBRC, Elgon, Digora, and POST Telecom. While DEEP’s core data center infrastructure is anchored in Luxembourg with three Tier IV certified sites, DEEP also extends services into France (including through its Digora operations), making Strasbourg a strategic node to bridge the French and Luxembourg markets.
The location in Strasbourg, near the Franco-German border and close to major European fiber corridors, allows low-latency access to both French and German markets, strong interconnection to backbone routes, and enhanced redundancy via regional network diversity.
⚙️ Facility Highlights
- DEEP operates three Tier IV certified data centres (design and constructed) ensuring high availability across its network.
- In its Luxembourg sites, it supports power densities from ~ 750 W/m² to ~ 4,000 W/m² depending on the site and request.
- Redundant dual UPS systems (2× N+1) and full backup generator systems in its Luxembourg facilities.
- Modular cage, private room, and private rack options (starting from ~ 12 m²) are offered in DEEP’s data centers.
- The infrastructure carries environmental certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 50001) in addition to its operational ones.
- The Strasbourg presence benefits from DEEP’s overall architecture and resilience design, leveraging its core Luxembourg hubs to deliver geo-redundant services into France.
🔐 Security & Compliance
- DEEP holds ISO 27001 (information security), ISO 22301 (business continuity), ISO 20000 (IT service management), ISO 9001 (quality) and PCI DSS level 1 for payment data environments.
- Certified “Professional of the Financial Sector” (PFS) to comply with sensitive financial sector requirements.
- 24/7 onsite security staff, continuous monitoring, and controlled physical access used across DEEP’s sites (applies to its colocation venues).
- DEEP designs its solutions to comply with stringent EU / Luxembourg regulatory requirements (e.g. CSSF for financial services).
🌐 Connectivity & Carrier Access
- DEEP is carrier-neutral, enabling customers freedom of choice in connectivity.
- In Luxembourg, DEEP data centers enable access to major carriers and fiber paths; Strasbourg’s facility leverages cross-border fiber to connect into that backbone.
- Multi-diverse fiber entry paths with redundant fiber rings, enabling resilient upstream connectivity.
- Interconnection and peering services are available; DEEP supports access to multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and inter-data center link services (i.e. private cross-connects).
- The upcoming “sovereign cloud” partnership with OVHcloud will allow workload hosting in DEEP’s own facilities, reinforcing intra-connectivity and data sovereignty for French and Luxembourg customers.
💼 Who It Serves
- Finance, banking & insurance institutions needing high security, regulatory compliance, and minimal latency across the French–Luxembourg corridor.
- Public sector, government & regulated industries requiring sovereign hosting with strong data governance.
- Large enterprises and hyperscale workloads seeking cross-border redundancy and cloud interoperability across France and Luxembourg.
- Tech, SaaS, and cloud service providers looking to deploy hybrid or sovereign cloud architectures with direct interconnect to DEEP’s infrastructure.
- Critical infrastructure, healthcare, defense, and space organizations, especially those needing high reliability and certified secure facilities near European institutional hubs (note: one of DEEP’s Tier IV sites is adjacent to SES headquarters in Betzdorf)
