Microsoft Azure: Indonesia Central

Microsoft Azure’s Indonesia Central is its first cloud region in Indonesia, located in Central Jakarta. Launched in April–May 2025, this region comprises three availability zones with independent power, cooling, and networking infrastructure. It’s designed to deliver in-country data residency, low latency performance for users in Indonesia, and alignment with local regulatory and compliance requirements.Strategically, this region strengthens Microsoft’s capacity for cloud, AI, and digital transformation services in Southeast Asia, enabling businesses and government institutions to innovate locally while leveraging Microsoft’s global scale.

• Availability Zones: Three availability zones are operational, ensuring redundancy in power, networking, and cooling across physically separate zones. 
• Hyperscale-ready Infrastructure: Built with hyperscale capabilities in mind, supporting compute, storage, data analytics, AI, and other Azure services.
• Resilience & Redundancy: Availability zones provide higher availability and fault tolerance—for example, independent infrastructure components to reduce risk from single-zone failures.
