The Top Bitcoin Mining Machines on the Market Today

22 Feb 2022 by Bryan Smalley

When China banned Bitcoin, it triggered what many experts are calling “The Great Mining Migration”. Despite that disruption, however, the Bitcoin network is as resilient as ever, with mining difficulty continuing to ramp up rapidly.

Combined with the recent sideways price action in the market, many newcomers feel that odds are stacked against them. However, it’s still possible to launch a Bitcoin mining operation with the potential for ROI-positive yields in the long run, and it all starts with picking the right mining rig.

To that end, here’s a list of the top four Bitcoin mining machines that any aspiring miner should consider in 2022 and beyond.

1. Avalonminer A1166 Pro

The Avalonminer A1166 Pro packs hashing power of 81 TH/s with a power draw of 3,400 watts per hour. While it may not be the most energy-efficient rig out there, it makes up for the difference with its pricing. As of this writing, the A1166 Pro is selling on platforms like eBay for a little over $9,000.

2. Antminer S19j Pro

The Antminer S19j Pro is the top-of-the-line model in the S19 series, adding some extra juice in terms of hashing power to maximize profitability for miners. At 104 TH/s hash power and an average consumption of 3120 Watts per hour, the Pro model is one of the most energy-efficient mining rigs out there.

As this miner is currently in stock on the Bitmain website, it can be acquired directly at $12,000 (as of this writing). This makes it one of the most attractive Bitcoin mining machines out there.

3. WhatsMiner M32-62T

This is another mining machine with a good price-to-performance ratio at 74 TH/s of hash power for a price tag of $7,600 on third-party marketplaces. While the energy consumptions leans on the heavier side, it’s still acceptable at 3,400 watts per hour.

For investors looking to acquire a compact machine that still packs some power, this is the go-to option.

4. Antminer S19

Building upon the success of the original AntMiner S7, which itself proved to be one of the most widely acclaimed rigs of its time, the all-new Antminer S19 is ready to step up the game and tackle the rapidly growing difficulty of the Bitcoin network.

This world-class miner comes with 95 TH/s of hash power with an average power draw of a little over 3,000 Watts per hour at room temperature.

As Bitmain is usually out of stock, this miner can be acquired through third-party marketplaces like eBay, where it typically goes for around $13,500 (as of this writing). As a result, it’s generally a better idea to acquire the S19j Pro model directly from Bitmain instead.

Disclaimer on Bitcoin Mining Machine Prices

As the demand for cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin in particular rises, the manufacturers of these miners quickly add a premium to their pricing. Before long, they run out of stock as investors acquire all the units and then flip them for a profit on third-party marketplaces.

The harsh reality of Bitcoin mining in 2022 is that it’s near impossible to acquire these machines anywhere close to the original price tags. Many devices are selling for three or more times higher than what the manufacturers originally promised.

As a result, making a profit with Bitcoin mining in 2022 is dependent upon an appreciation in the pricing of this original cryptocurrency.
