Torch Technologies, one of the nation’s top 100 government contractors, has chosen Atlanta-based DC BLOX for its data center services. DC BLOX is a multi-tenant data center provider in the Southeast, delivering the infrastructure and connectivity essential to power digital businesses. DC BLOX will host Torch Technologies client infrastructure in its Huntsville and Birmingham, Alabama locations.
“We’re thrilled to have Torch Technologies select our data centers. Torch Technologies is a highly respected government contractor in Huntsville that values the industry-leading security and performance features of our facilities and embodies the kind of customer we built our data centers for. We are proud and honored to partner with a company that puts such a strong emphasis on supporting both local communities and the men and women of our country, values we certainly share,” said Jeff Uphues, CEO of DC BLOX.
The defense contractor will deploy client IT infrastructure in DC BLOX’s Huntsville and Birmingham data centers. DC BLOX will provide a private network connection from Torch’s site in Huntsville, AL. Torch will have redundant off-site data storage with cloud storage services in both locations. Also, as it is connected with DC BLOX’s high-speed private network fabric, business continuity is guaranteed in the event of a natural or systemic disaster.
DC BLOX’s expertise is in building Tier 3 data centers with rich connectivity. DC BLOX’s software-defined network services enable access to a wealth of providers, partners, and platforms to businesses across the Southeast. DC BLOX’s connected data centers are in Atlanta, GA; Huntsville, AL; Chattanooga, TN; and Birmingham, AL.
“Torch Technologies has been interested in moving our IT infrastructure into a more secure and reliable location for years, but access to Tier 3 data centers in our area is very limited,” stated John Watson, President and CEO of Torch Technologies. “DC BLOX impressed us with the quality of their facilities and their plans to build connected data centers across the Southeast.”
