Xfernet , a leading provider of hosting and network services has further expanded its global IP backbone by investing in a Dallas, Texas Point of Presence (PoP). This new PoP will support the growing demand for high-quality tier 2 IP transit services from global companies operating in the United States.

The PoP is located at Equinix’s DA3, one of the most densely connected IBX® facilities in North America. It is Xfernet’s first location in the Southern region and reflects the company’s strategy to expand its unique pay-for-usage, zero commitment IP transit service offering in more cities in the United States.

“The new PoP in Dallas fits our strategy to expand Xfernet’s reach and global backbone into the Southern region of the United States in one of the fastest-growing network and cloud markets,” said Jeffrey Nikoletich, Chief Technology and Operations Officer at Xfernet. “This location will also serve as a connection point for our SD-WAN partners, allowing new and current customers to add Xfernet IP transit services quickly and without commitment via the Megaport or PacketFabric marketplaces for that region,” Nikoletich added.

Headquartered in California, Xfernet owns and operates a 10,000 square foot data center in Los Angeles and global IP backbone with a point of presence in Ashburn, Chicago, Dallas, Dublin, London, Los Angeles, and New York.
