NorthC: Biel (Bern Region) Data Center
About Biel (Bern Region) Data Center
The NorthC Biel (Bern Region) Data Center is located at Tennisweg 6, 2504 Biel/Bienne, situated in the industrial–high tech cluster of the Bözingenfeld area in the Seeland region of Switzerland.
As part of NorthC’s Swiss footprint, this facility is directly connected via a redundant backbone network to NorthC’s Münchenstein (Basel) and Winterthur (Zurich) sites, enabling seamless inter-site interconnection. The Biel center benefits from its strategic position within the heart of Switzerland’s “Espace Mittelland” region, offering low-latency access across the cantons of Bern, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Solothurn, and Jura. Sustainability is a key differentiator: the facility is powered 100 % by renewable hydropower, and residual heat is reused to heat adjacent buildings in the region.
