NTT Global Data Centers: Keihanna Data Center

The Keihanna Data Center is currently under development in Seika Town, Soraku District, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, by NTT Global Data Centers (NTT GDC) and supported by NTT Communications. Strategically located about 94 m above sea level to minimize natural disaster risk, it serves as a critical infrastructure hub for central and western Japan, offering connectivity within an hour’s drive of Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara.

⚙️ Facility Highlights

• Power Capacity: Designed to deliver 30 MW of critical IT load, with an initial provision of 6 MW and planned phased expansion. 
• Server Space: Offers approximately 10,900 m² of data hall area, designed to accommodate up to 4,800 racks.
• Building Design: A four-story, seismic-isolated structure, built to Tier III international standards, featuring redundant power, cooling, and communications systems. 
• Cooling System: Equipped with N+1 air-cooled chiller systems for reliable climate control.
• Site Resilience: Located in a flat, low-risk terrain with high accessibility and disaster resilience.
