​The Sonezaki Data Center (OC1) is an upcoming state-of-the-art facility by OPTAGE Inc., strategically located in Osaka's Sonezaki area.Scheduled to commence operations in January 2026, this 14-story, carrier-neutral data center is designed to meet the evolving needs of businesses requiring high-performance, low-latency connectivity and robust infrastructure.

Key Features:

• Strategic Location: Situated within a 3-kilometer radius of Osaka's Dojima and Shinsaibashi districts, OC1 offers proximity to major public cloud access points and Internet Exchanges (IXs), facilitating low-latency connections to cloud services and other data centers.

Advanced Connectivity:The facility will host IX points from JPNAP, JPIX, and BBIX, providing optimal network connections with various domestic and international operators. This enhances the data center's role as a central hub for data traffic in the Kansai region.

Robust Infrastructure:Spanning approximately 24,100 square feet (2,250 square meters), the 14-story building incorporates seismic isolation design to protect against earthquakes, ensuring uninterrupted operations

Sustainable Operations:OPTAGE plans to utilize renewable energy certificates provided by its parent company, Kansai Electric Power Co., to offset the data center's power consumption, contributing to environmentally friendly operations. ​
