EdgeCloudLink (ECL)
About EdgeCloudLink (ECL)
ECL is a Mountain View, California-based modular AI data center and Data-Center-as-a-Service provider serving cloud, AI, edge, and high-density infrastructure customers. The company builds community-integrated Flex-Grid data centers designed for high availability, high rack density, and lower-impact power delivery. Its platform combines modular facility blocks, on-site power generation, advanced cooling, infrastructure monitoring, and build-to-order deployment for customers that need scalable AI infrastructure without conventional utility interconnection timelines.
ECL’s service portfolio centers on modular data center capacity, AI infrastructure, Flex-Grid power architecture, and Data-Center-as-a-Service. The ECL Block architecture scales from 1 MW to 10 MW blocks, and larger sites are built by repeating those blocks. Customers can define rack criteria, rack-level power requirements, redundancy mode, availability mode, and internal data center temperature. ECL’s Lightning management system provides infrastructure visibility across power generation, cooling, rack-level energy usage, alerting, visualization, trending, predictive modeling, inventory, site optimization, support portal ticketing, and API feeds.
ECL’s differentiators include hydrogen fuel cell power, optional natural gas generation with carbon capture, clean-grid operation, modular deployment, water-conscious design, and high-density cooling. Its first hydrogen-powered modular data center, MV-1, operates at the company’s Mountain View headquarters. ECL also announced CSC-1, a 35 MW Santa Clara data center using FlexGrid architecture, on-grid electricity, natural gas, and behind-the-meter hydrogen power blocks. CSC-1 is designed to support 75 kW to 270 kW rack densities, with a first phase offering 2.5 MW of IT capacity.
