The NS3 S.r.l. Data Center, located at Via Lisbona 7 in Padova, Italy, is a carrier-neutral facility designed to provide secure, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure services.Established in 2001, NS3 offers a range of services including colocation, cloud solutions, virtual and dedicated servers, and managed services, primarily catering to IT intermediaries and small to medium-sized enterprises.

Facility and Infrastructure

Situated in Padova's industrial area, the data center occupies approximately 150 square meters and is elevated two meters above street level to mitigate flood risks . The main server room accommodates up to 24 standard 42U racks, with an additional area supporting up to 30 tower servers for testing and development purposes. The facility features a raised floor system for efficient cable management and airflow, and is equipped with environmental sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, and potential water intrusion.

Power and Cooling

NS3 ensures uninterrupted power supply through two 40 kVA online double-conversion UPS systems and a 100 kVA Tessari generator with a 1,500-liter fuel expansion . The cooling system maintains a constant temperature year-round, contributing to the facility's energy efficiency and equipment reliability .

Connectivity and Network

As an autonomous system (AS39479), NS3 maintains dual 10 Gbps fiber connections, linking to major Internet exchange points such as VSIX in Padova and MIX in Milan . These connections facilitate low-latency access to major carriers and content providers, including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. The carrier-neutral stance allows clients flexibility in choosing their preferred network providers

Security and Monitoring

The data center employs comprehensive security measures, including biometric access controls, CCTV surveillance, and fire detection and suppression systems . Environmental monitoring systems detect anomalies such as temperature fluctuations, humidity changes, and water leaks, ensuring prompt response to potential issues .
