Rostelecom: UDOMLYA Data Center

The Udomlya Data Center is located in Udomlya, Tver Region, Russia, on the grounds adjacent to the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant.  Operated by Rostelecom’s data-centre subsidiary, the facility is a key part of the operator’s strategy to deploy a national, geographically-distributed network of data-centres across Russia.  Its strategic location benefits from stable power infrastructure (via the nuclear power plant), generous land area, and an environment suited for high-reliability operations.

⚙️ Facility Highlights

• The second phase of the Udomlya campus delivered approximately 8 MW of IT load capacity covering around 800 racks.
• Rich expansion capability: the third stage (Udomlya-3) comprises four machine rooms, each housing circa 820 racks (5.4 kW each) and uses ring-based cooling with 1,272 kW cooling capacity per machine room. 
• The facility benefits from extremely reliable electrical supply thanks to its close proximity to the nuclear power plant, offering power-tariff advantages and operational stability. 
• Designed with free-cooling and efficient engineering in mind, and features a redundant fibre-optic link constructed to enhance connectivity resiliency.

• The Udomlya Data Center is built with high-availability infrastructure and follows Tier III reliability standards (as per Udomlya-3 reporting).
