DC1 is located in Hovinbyen, Oslo’s newly developed urban district, and is operated by Skygard — a Norwegian-owned data centre provider backed by Telenor, Hafslund and HitecVision. The facility is designed to serve public sector, enterprise, cloud and AI workloads, leveraging Norway’s renewable energy infrastructure and strong governance. With its central Oslo location it offers excellent accessibility to major transport and network nodes while emphasising sustainability and security.

Construction began in 2024 and the first phase is targeted for operational readiness in 2025.
