Soluna: Ellen Data Center
About Ellen Data Center
The Hellen Data Center is a next-generation, renewable-powered digital infrastructure project developed by Soluna, designed to support high-performance computing workloads across Bitcoin mining, artificial intelligence (AI), and HPC applications. With a planned capacity of 100MW, the facility represents a significant step forward in sustainable, energy-aligned data center development.
Powered by wind energy, Hellen is purpose-built to co-locate computing infrastructure with renewable generation, enabling efficient use of excess or curtailed energy while reducing environmental impact. This approach aligns with Soluna’s broader strategy of transforming stranded renewable energy into productive compute capacity for emerging digital workloads.
Named after Ellen Ochoa, the first Latina astronaut and a leader in STEM advocacy, the project reflects a commitment not only to technological advancement but also to inclusive innovation and representation within the digital infrastructure sector.
Designed as a scalable platform, Hellen will support energy-intensive workloads requiring high-density compute environments, including AI model training, blockchain processing, and scientific computing.
