The campus sits in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center and is designed as one of Switch’s largest data center ecosystems, with 7.2 million square feet of planned data center space and 650 MW of planned power capacity. The first facility, TAHOE RENO 1, provides 1.3 million square feet and 130 MW of power capacity.

The Sparks location gives customers a Nevada-based deployment option with low-latency access to California and the broader western United States. The campus connects to the Switch SUPERLOOP®, a 500-mile fiber network linking TAHOE RENO with San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Switch’s Las Vegas CORE Campus. The route supports 4-millisecond latency to Silicon Valley/San Francisco, 9-millisecond connectivity to Los Angeles, and 7-millisecond dedicated fiber to Las Vegas.
