The NKG1 Nanjing Data Center, operated by Big Data Exchange (BDx), sits in the Jiangning District of Nanjing, China. It’s part of BDx’s emerging data center campus in the Yangtze River Delta—a key economic region. The facility is designed to meet demand from OTT media, financial institutions, enterprises, telecoms, and government entities seeking resilient, scalable infrastructure.
Built to Tier III standards, NKG1 was the first in Nanjing to receive Uptime Institute’s Tier III Certification of Design Documents, and also holds the CQC‑A quality certification.
⚙️ Facility Highlights
- Power & Resilience: Provides 4 MW of IT load, with two independent 10 kV feeders from separate substations within a 60 MVA grid allocation. Backups include 2N UPS (2 × 4,800 kVA), N+1 diesel generators, and 150,000 liters of onsite fuel for ~24-hour backup.
- Space & Scale: Features 12,500 m² (≈134,548 sq ft) of gross white space; supports ~1,000 racks with a PUE of ~1.53.
- Connectivity: Includes meet-me rooms, multiple carrier cross-connects, and in-building access to major domestic exchanges and PoPs.

- Tiered physical security, mantraps, CCTV, 24/7 monitoring, two-factor (biometric + card) authentication, fire detection (VESDA), dry-pipe suppression, IG541 systems, perimeter fencing.
- Certifications include ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and recognition as a “Model Data Center” in the Yangtze River Delta region by the China Communications Industry Association.
