InterRacks: Doetinchem data center

InterDC’s Doetinchem data center (operated by InterRacks CV) is located at Gildenbroederslaan 1, Doetinchem, Gelderland, the Netherlands. Acquired from Novoserve in April 2021, the facility was upgraded to meet modern certifications and design standards. Strategically positioned in the eastern Netherlands near the German border, it serves as a regional hub for colocation, disaster recovery, and edge deployments, offering low-latency connectivity into both Dutch and German markets. Its location avoids the congestion and price pressures of Amsterdam while still providing strong infrastructure and connection options to national and international networks.

• Designed to Tier III specification, enabling redundancy and fault tolerance in power, cooling, and connectivity. 
• Raised floor layout with hot / cold aisle separation and ventilated floor tiles for efficient airflow management.
• Redundant cooling systems from Stulz; in case of failure one unit can seamlessly take over. 
• Dual redundant electrical feeds (A / B), each backed by Eaton UPS systems and Teksan backup generators (450 kVA) for assured power continuity. 
• Every rack is provisioned with two redundant 3 × 16 A power feeds (no-break) to support high availability operations. 
• Fire detection via VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) coupled with CO₂ extinguishers in corridors.
• Capability for data floor expansion: current floor area ~2,690 sq ft for ~120 racks, with plans to nearly double via a second data floor room (~2,670 sq ft).

• Strict physical access control: access cards + unique PINs required; lost cards cannot be used without the PIN.
• Full HD camera surveillance with motion-detection capability; integrated into the building management system (BMS).
• Environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, power usage) and fire detection systems are tied into BMS for real-time alerts. 
• 24/7 onsite staff (operations, security) to maintain monitoring, response, and support.
• Certified to ISO 27001 (information security management) and NEN 7510 (Dutch healthcare information security standard) across its data centers.

• Carrier-neutral facility with an open network policy: any Internet or network provider may connect.
• Listed in PeeringDB with 17 networks and presence in two exchanges (ENS-IX, ERA-IX) facilitating peering and transit options. 
• Fiber entry diversity is available, enabling multiple geographically separated fiber paths into the site. 
• InterDC supports cross-connects, and connectivity via Eurofiber’s DCspine to link to other Dutch and Belgian data centers. 
• Through its networks, customers can access the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) for broader national/international peering.
