luxconnect: DC 1.3

DC 1.3 is part of the LuxConnect S.A. data-centre campus in Bettembourg, Luxembourg (address: 202 Z.A.E. Wolser F, L-3290 Bettembourg). 

Operational since mid-2015, the facility is positioned as a high-availability, carrier-neutral colocation hub in the heart of Europe, offering direct access to Luxembourg’s dense fibre and interconnection infrastructure. 

Leveraging 100% renewable energy, a Tier IV-capable design, and modern cooling and power systems, DC 1.3 caters to enterprises, cloud providers and network operators seeking low-latency, resilient infrastructure in the region.

• Gross building size: ~23,500 m², with net IT space of ~5,500 m². 
• Power available: 2 × 10 MVA. 
• Power loads up to ~10 kW per rack. 
• Raised floor height: 1.00 m; floor load capacity: 2,000 kg/m². 
• Cooling-system design: water input at 15 °C, output at 21 °C; server-room ambient 18-27 °C (ASHRAE Class A1). 
• PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness): as low as 1.3. 
• Generator autonomy: 48 hours full IT load, with 24/365 refuelling contract. 
• Architectural integration: building spans ~55 × 140 m and has three levels, designed almost entirely underground on the side facing Bettembourg, enabling a compact and secure footprint.

• Fire-suppression systems include neutral-gas (nitrogen) suppression, very early smoke detection (VESDA) and water-leakage detection.
