QTS Data Centers: Richmond 2 Data Center
About Richmond 2 Data Center
The QTS Richmond 2 data center campus is part of QTS (Quality Technology Services), located in Sandston, Virginia, just east of Richmond. The campus spans approximately 81 acres and is designed as a master‑planned, multi‑building mega‑scale facility that will deliver over 180 MW of critical power capacity upon full completion. Strategically positioned with easy access to I‑95 and I‑64, approximately 5 miles from Richmond International Airport and about 98 miles from Washington, D.C., the site offers excellent East Coast connectivity and convenient transport links. As part of QTS’s broader Richmond footprint, it benefits from proximity to the company’s massive, established campus—making it a highly networked interconnection hub for enterprise, cloud, and government clients
