The enterprise data centre in Montréal (referred to as Enterprise Data Centre Montréal or “EDC Montréal”) is one of four flagship data-centres operated by Shared Services Canada on behalf of the Government of Canada. These modern facilities support federal digital services, applications and data storage across departments. EDC Montréal underpins the Government’s hosting strategy, providing a high-availability, secure and scalable infrastructure node in Québec for national service delivery. The site contributes to a rationalised government-wide data-centre footprint, replacing many older, less reliable legacy facilities.
