BIT DIGITAL: MTL2
About MTL2
MTL-2 is WhiteFiber’s Pointe-Claire, Quebec data center built for AI, HPC, GPU, enterprise colocation, and high-density infrastructure deployments in Greater Montreal. The facility is located at 7300 Trans-Canada Highway in the Montreal-area “datacenter highway” corridor and expands the Enovum platform beyond the MTL1 Montreal facility. MTL2 is designed as a Tier-3-standard, 5 MW gross-load data center for customers deploying dense compute, AI training, inference, and production GPU workloads near Montreal’s enterprise, research, VFX, and cloud infrastructure ecosystem.
MTL2 occupies a 160,000-square-foot property in Pointe-Claire that was previously used as an encapsulation manufacturing facility and has been retrofitted for data center operations. The site is designed with direct-to-chip liquid cooling, a heat-reject loop, 2N UPS architecture, N+1 cooling, and peak rack density of up to 150 kW. WhiteFiber’s platform supports deployments from single cabinets to large-scale AI infrastructure, and Enovum’s colocation model includes cabinets, cages, private rooms, pods, data halls, meet-me rooms, remote hands, advanced monitoring, redundant power, high-density cooling, and custom-built infrastructure environments.
The facility is powered by 100% renewable hydroelectricity from Hydro-Québec, giving MTL2 a strong energy profile for high-density AI and HPC deployments. Its Pointe-Claire location places the facility near Montréal–Trudeau International Airport, major Montreal fiber corridors, and the broader Quebec data center market. PeeringDB lists Enovum Data Centers - MTL02 at 7300 Trans-Canada Highway, Pointe-Claire, Quebec H9R 1C7, with Enovum Data Centers Corp. associated with the facility record. MTL2 adds liquid-cooled, hydroelectric-powered data center capacity to WhiteFiber’s Canadian AI infrastructure footprint, complementing Enovum MTL1, Montreal, Pointe-Claire, Hydro-Québec, Trans-Canada Highway, and the Greater Montreal data center market.
