BIT DIGITAL: MTL3
About MTL3
Enovum MTL3 / Montreal 3 is WhiteFiber’s Saint-Jérôme, Quebec data center built for AI, HPC, dense colocation, and GPU infrastructure in the Greater Montreal market. The facility is located at 500 Bd Monseigneur-Dubois and was developed as a purpose-built retrofit for high-density AI infrastructure. MTL-3 supports 5 MW of ready capacity and was designed around a dedicated tenant deployment for Cerebras, giving the site a defined role in large-scale generative AI infrastructure. The facility extends WhiteFiber and Enovum’s Quebec footprint beyond MTL1 in Montreal and MTL2 in Pointe-Claire, adding a northern Greater Montreal location in Saint-Jérôme with access to Quebec’s renewable energy base.
MTL-3 spans 203,800 square feet and was retrofitted from an industrial building into a Tier III-compliant AI-optimized data center. The design includes direct-to-chip liquid cooling, raised-floor configuration, custom containment, N+1 redundant cooling, advanced monitoring, VESDA early smoke detection, and double-interlocking pre-action sprinklers. Power infrastructure includes N+1 UPS, N+1 generators, weekly generator testing, and fuel supply contracts. The facility uses 100% renewable Hydro-Québec power, aligning the site with high-density AI deployments that require substantial electrical capacity and predictable operating conditions.
The site is connected for production AI workloads through diverse meet-me rooms, diverse fiber entrances, three carriers serving the data center, connectivity to Montreal’s largest carrier hotel, connectivity to CanIX, and connectivity to Enovum MTL01. MTL-3 strengthens WhiteFiber’s regional data center fabric across Saint-Jérôme, Montreal, Pointe-Claire, Hydro-Québec, CanIX, and the broader Quebec AI infrastructure market. The facility was delivered through an accelerated retrofit program that converted a former industrial facility into a liquid-cooled, high-density AI colocation environment for dense compute and generative AI infrastructure.
