Vantage Data Centers: Johannesburg I Data Center Campus – Building 2
About Johannesburg I Data Center Campus – Building 2
Building 2 is part of the Johannesburg I Data Center Campus, Vantage Data Centers’ flagship development in South Africa and the company’s expansion into Africa’s largest data center market. Located within Waterfall City, a premier mixed-use business district surrounded by hotels, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues, the campus delivers scalable, high-density infrastructure in the continent’s leading digital hub.
The campus spans approximately 30 acres (12 hectares) and is planned to provide 80MW of critical IT load across three two-story data centers, totaling approximately 650,000 square feet (60,000 m²) of space. Building 2 benefits from robust electrical infrastructure, advanced cooling systems, and diversified fiber connectivity designed to support enterprise and hyperscale deployments. Engineered for modern IT environments, the campus supports average densities of up to 300W per square foot (3.2kW/m²)
