Located in Wiesbaden, Germany, WiTCOM DataCenter 2 is operated by WiTCOM, a subsidiary of ESWE Versorgungs AG. The facility serves as one of two high-availability data centres in the Wiesbaden area and supports enterprise, carrier, and IT-service providers requiring secure, local colocation, cloud and connectivity infrastructure. The site benefits from direct highway access (via A66/A3/A643/A671), a dedicated fibre backbone and georedundant connectivity between DC1 and DC2. The centre aligns with WiTCOM’s “Green-IT” commitment: it is powered exclusively by renewable energy certified under the “CMS Standard Erzeugung EE”. 

⚙️ Facility Highlights

• Technical space totalling approximately 350 m² across two independently fire-segmented areas. 
• Cooling infrastructure designed for around 600 W per m² usable server area, with active high-performance chillers and free-cooling elements. 
• Power supply features: on-site transformer station with two units, diesel generator backup with dedicated on-site refuelling (via ESWE fuel station), and UPS systems in n+1 configuration. 
• Redundant glass-fibre cabling with separate routing to WiTCOM DC1, supporting georedundancy of connectivity. 
• The entire facility (including DC2) operates on 100% renewable energy (“Naturstrom”) certified by TÜV SÜD.

• Access control includes electronic transponder system, man-trap configuration, video surveillance of internal circulation areas and 24/7/365 on-site security patrols. 
• Fire-protection systems include very-early-smoke detection (RAS), a central fire-alarm station (BMZ) and dedicated fire-suppression systems. 
• The site is TÜV-Rheinland certified to EN 50600 standards and maintains ISO 27001 information-security compliance — aligned with WiTCOM’s corporate certifications.
