Provident Data Centers: Missouri Data Center
About Missouri Data Center
Provident Data Centers Gateway Digital Campus in Villa Ridge, Missouri is a planned next-generation data center campus at the intersection of MO 100 and I-44 in Franklin County. The Missouri development is part of Provident Data Centers’ national portfolio of secure, energy-efficient data center projects and is designed for cloud computing, machine learning, enterprise infrastructure, hyperscale deployments, and digital workloads requiring large-scale land, power, and fiber planning.
The Gateway Digital Campus plan includes a 13-building data center campus with significant site buffering, over 50% of the property preserved as undisturbed green space, and 1,000-foot setbacks. The campus plan uses a closed-loop cooling approach, public utility service, dark-sky lighting commitments, acoustic modeling, and annual sound monitoring. The project is not designed for bitcoin or cryptocurrency mining and is positioned for cloud, AI, machine learning, and broader digital infrastructure applications.
The Villa Ridge location gives Provident a strategic eastern Missouri position west of St. Louis, with direct access to Interstate 44, MO 100, Franklin County, Shaw Nature Reserve, and the broader St. Louis regional infrastructure market. The campus is planned to fund required infrastructure and transmission upgrades directly, supporting large-scale digital infrastructure growth without placing those upgrade costs on local taxpayers. Provident’s portfolio page lists Missouri among its active portfolio markets and presents a national footprint spanning more than 7 GW of utility power, more than 70 planned buildings, and 9 states.
