Vantage Data Centers: Shackelford County (Frontier) Data Center Campus – Building 3
About Shackelford County (Frontier) Data Center Campus – Building 3
Building 3 is part of the Shackelford County (Frontier) Data Center Campus, a mega-scale development in Texas designed to meet unprecedented demand for AI and next-generation compute infrastructure. Located in the Lone Star State with proximity to Abilene Regional Airport and regional amenities, the campus delivers hyperscale-ready infrastructure in a strategically positioned U.S. market.
The campus spans approximately 1,200 acres and is planned to deliver 1.4GW of critical IT load across 10 one-story data centers once fully developed, totaling approximately 3,700,000 square feet. Building 3 benefits from this master-planned hyperscale architecture, incorporating high-density electrical systems, advanced cooling capabilities, and diverse fiber connectivity.
Engineered specifically for AI and GPU-intensive workloads, the campus supports average rack densities up to 1.4kW per square foot, positioning it among the highest-density deployments in Vantage’s North American portfolio.
